My youngest daughter, Vivi is so funny! Iām sitting in my car after listening to a podcast of a lady I admire and just enjoying the cool breeze as I see my little girl come out of the house. Sheās wearing a Unicorn onesie pajama with pink and white striped fuzzy socka that her great grandmother sent to her.
Iām just sitting here and my podcast comes to an end so Iām watching her intently. Itās not uncommon that sheās outside with me. She would live outdoors if we would allow her to, so I just watched her as she ran and galloped on the lawn and then the sidewalk.... yes, in her socks.... (Iām not THAT mom) I allow my kids to just be kids... unapologetically wild and free farm kids. We catch and release bugs, lizards, chickens (they end up in our coop though) and we play in the mud, the grass, the garden and watch sun sets while
dripping popsicles all over. In my opinion, I think thatās a pretty amazing childhood for a kid!
šæ Back to my Unicorn sighting... I sat here quietly and just watched her play as I often do Admiring her creativity, imagination and just her pure pizzaz for life! Suddenly, she paused and then I watched her run to the back door, knock on the door and run back around to the front door as fast as she can. I just watched a unicorn trotting so fast it appeared to be flying as she sped past me. As awe-struck as I was watching this magical creature zoom by, I watched the unicorn as she opens the door and my husband says to her her, āWhy did you knock on the back door for?ā To which she responds to him, āI didnāt.ā
He says, āI only know itās you because youāre out of breath!ā
She looks him in the face and says, āIt wasnāt me!ā....
I got you kid! It wasnāt you, it was a UNICORN š¦ This kid cracks me up!! Life is NEVER dull with her, and she definitely spiced things up!
