Quarantine Life Yo!

Updated: Sep 10, 2021

My problems are First world problems, I’m sure. Nevertheless, I’ll share with y’all! It’s good for a giggle if you have an imagination and a sense of humor. I ordered a splatter guard online to aid in making butter since I’m quarantined at home and can’t find butter for my online grocery pick ups. Anyway, I’ve been waiting for 3 weeks to receive it. It finally came! I was so excited... like a kid in a candy store. Something to try out and a break in the daily struggle of homeschooling 3 children! My thoughts were 💭 ”I’m going to bake all the things” “I’m going to adventure into flavored butter” “all the possibilities!”!! I washed it, stuck it on my kitchen aid mixer, put the cream in the bowl and set it to the first setting “stir”. I could NEVER have believed what was about to follow.... an explosion if you will! 😱😱 It was like something you would see in a movie! Cream is F L Y I N G........ E V E R Y W H E R E !!! I suddenly turn it off and here I am... coated in thick, white, heavy cream and salt (yes I like salted butter🧈 ) and my kitchen is a catastrophe! Heavy cream is dripping off of the cabinets, my entire mixer is covered, counter tops, the nearby toaster my daughter used, wax melts dish, sage plant, Myself, the dog even got some on her! Looked like A crime scene. I stand here surveying the damage... what the hell just happened?! And I immediately grab towels, papers towel, etc and start wiping my face, arms, shirt, legs, and FEET down. I grab my phone and verify I did, in fact order this from Amazon and not Wish! 🤯 Due to the damn Rona I tossed the box because of germs so I can’t even send it back. It SUCKS! As I’m standing here frustrated, trying to instruct children with their homeschooling tasks, my lovely child bold faced looks at me without even skipping a beat and says, “geez mom. That’s a disaster! Maybe you should’ve just kept your money and used the kitchen towel like last time because that was wayyyy less messy!”- Viviana, 8.5 years old.... thanks kid 😏 Good looking out. 😂😂 I guess in this “Momschooling” time I’m teaching them more common sense than common core. 😜😜

My youngest daughter, Vivi is so funny! I’m sitting in my car after listening to a podcast of a lady I admire and just enjoying the cool...
